Kimberly Boross holds a Master’s Degree in Music Performance with honors and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, where she studied flute and piccolo with Dr. Emily Butterfield. During her time at the University of Central Oklahoma, she played flute and piccolo in the UCO Wind Symphony, UCO Symphony Orchestra, UCO Flute Choir, and multiple chamber ensembles.
Kimberly has won numerous competitions and awards, including being a performer for the 2020 National Flute Association’s Summer Piccolo Masterclass, alternate for the 2020 MET Orchestra Piccolo Masterclass, alternate for the 2017 Kujala International Piccolo Competition, and winner of the University of Central Oklahoma’s Concerto Competition. As an educator, Kimberly has taught flute, piccolo, high school band, orchestra, drumline, and music appreciation. Her students have won numerous awards at their state’s All-State Band, All-State Orchestra, their state’s Solo and Ensemble competitions, and their local flute club organizations. Currently, Kimberly teaches all levels of flute and piccolo students through her online flute studio.
